Obituary: Lucien ‘Lou’ Caouette, 67

Lucien L. “Lou” Caouette, 67, of Bristol, husband of Lorette (Nocera) Caouette died Sunday, March 13 at Bristol Hospital.

Lou was born June 5, 1948 in Berlin, NH, son of the late Wilfred & Marguerite (Lavertu) Caouette.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.  Lou was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church, Bristol and also was a member of American Legion Bristol Post #2.

Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Christopher, Corey, and Kenneth Caouette of Bristol; his daughters, Victoria Budnick and her husband Duane and Erica Caouette of Bristol; his brothers, Ronald Caouette of Bristol, Robert Caouette of Berlin, NH; his sisters, Cecile Handrinos of Berlin, NH, Joann Sirois and her husband Don of Bristol, Elaine Wrisley and her husband Charles of Bristol, Suzanne Shackford of Vermont; his grandchildren, Kersten and Trinity Caouette, Gladys and Kamren Budnick; his sisters-in-law, Corinne Greaves of Southington, Marilyn Egan and her husband Frank of Bristol; his brother-in-law, Jerry Nocera and his wife Dianne of Bristol; several nieces and nephews; his best friend since childhood, Lucien Pelletier of Bristol and good friend, Bob Montgomery of Bristol and his beloved cat, Gracie.  He is predeceased by his sister, Lucille Roy; his brother, Raymond Caouette; his mother & father-in-law, Gladys and Jerry Nocera and brother-in-law, Robert Greaves.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 19, at Prospect United Methodist Church, 99 Summer St., Bristol. Military honors will follow outside the church.  Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville is assisting the family with arrangements.
