The Friends of the Bristol Public Library will hold their annual Winter Used Book Sale from Wednesday, Feb. 25 to Sunday, March 1 in the meeting rooms in the lower level of the Bristol Library, 5 High St., Bristol. This event gives the Friends the opportunity to offer for sale the books, DVDs, videos, CDs and other items that have been so generously donated over the last year. Books are priced from 25 cents to $2, with specially priced books also available.
Sale hours (with free admission) are Thursday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 7p.m.; Friday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale ends with a bag sale ($5 for a brown bag and $3 for a plastic bag) on Sunday, March 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. A preview sale (a $5 admission fee applies) will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 3 to 7 p.m.
Proceeds from the sale help the Friends provide the Bristol libraries with items and services not included in the annual budget, such as the summer reading program for adults, teens, and children.
