Doris J. (Deziel) LaMothe, formerly of Bristol, widow of Rene L. LaMothe, passed away on Sunday (April 24, 2016) at Bayonet Point Hospital, Port Richey, FL. Doris was born on July 30, 1929 in Waterbury and was one of three daughters of the late Donat and Azeline (Grenier) Deziel. She was raised and attended school in Waterbury before moving to Bristol in 1953. After raising her family, she worked as a clerk at the Bristol Police Department for several years before retiring in 1989. Doris was a member of AARP, the Bristol Senior Citizens and attended St. Ann Church, Bristol. Doris is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Diane and Francis Colucia of Hudson, FL, and Elaine and John Balling of Pinellas Park, FL; a son and daughter-in-law: David and Sandra LaMothe of California; her two sisters: Sr. Lorraine Deziel of Putnam, and Claire Cote and her husband, Rene, of Chicopee, MA; two grandsons: Michael Winters of Madison and Mark Winters of Plainville; three great-granddaughters: Taylor, Meghan, and Jenna Winters; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (May 13, 2016) at 11 AM at St. Ann Church, 215 West Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
