Robbery at Riverside Avenue 7-11

Bristol Police are investigating a robbery that took place at the 7-11 convenience store at 200 Riverside Ave. early Tuesday morning. A little after 4:30 a.m., a press release said, a lone male entered the 7-11 displaying a knife and ordering the cashier to give him money from the register. The release said the cashier handed over the money and was not injured in the incident.
The suspect left the store heading west toward Mellen Street with an undetermined amount of cash.
Police are describing the suspect as about 5 feet 4 inches, possibly Hispanic and wearing a blue winter-type jacket, a wool cap with black and white zigzag stripes, gloves, jeans and sneakers. The suspect had what appeared to be a t-shirt covering his face.
Bristol officers, including a K-9 officer, responded to the scene searched for the suspect. Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call the Bristol Police at (860)584-3011.
