Michael J. Cloutier, 53, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
Mike was born in Stafford Springs, Connecticut on April 25, 1962 son of the late Normand E. Cloutier and Catherine (Pilsitz) Cloutier. A graduate of the Class of 1983 at Bristol Central High School, Mike had worked for 30 years at CW Resources and was a part of the Day Program at the Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC).
Mike loved sports, and as an avid fan he enjoyed keeping sports statistics. He was involved with the Special Olympics and was the first Bristol athlete to participate in gymnastics at the International level where he was a medal winner. He had also been honored by the Bristol Tramps Sports Hall of Fame. Along with sports, Mike loved his family, music and the ladies.
He leaves his brothers Robert Cloutier and Judi and their children Alexander and Caitlin Cloutier; David Cloutier and his wife Jane Racer Cloutier and their children Peter Samuel and Asa Charles Cloutier; Rene Cloutier, Gregory Cloutier and his wife McKenzie; sisters Lorraine Baker and her husband Richard and their children Iain Baker and his wife Grace, Sarah Baker and her husband Victor Coutin; Jeanine Cloutier and her children Andrew Gall and his wife Esther, Phillip Gall, Christopher Gall and his wife Deanna, Travis and Scottie Johnson; and Cynthia Donovan and her husband James and their son, Jonathan along with the entire Donovan family. He also leaves several grandnieces and grandnephews.
The family wants to thank Ingraham Manor and the staff at BARC for their loving care shown to Mike.
Mike’s funeral will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol and will proceed to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, Bristol will be held privately by the family at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 between 5:00 and 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to BARC, 195 Maltby St., P.O.
