Robin J. Laprise, 61, of Bristol, beloved husband of Donna (Cormier) Laprise, died on Tuesday (March 29, 2016) at Bristol Hospital after a courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Robin was born in St. Jacques deWolfe, Province of Quebec, Canada, on August 31, 1954 and was a son of Adrienne (Moison) Laprise of Bristol and the late Patrick Laprise. A lifelong Bristol resident, he attended Bristol school and graduated from Bristol Central High School. He spent his career as a union carpenter with Local #24. His hobbies were puzzles and playing cards. He enjoyed spending time at his camp in Vermont with his family including his cousin, Carroll Bilodeau, where he loved to make bonfires. He also enjoyed going fiddlehead picking with his close friend, Denis Dionne. In addition to his beloved wife of nearly 39 years, Robin is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Lori and Jamie Havens of Bristol, and Keri and Mike Lam of Burlington; two brothers: Russell Laprise and wife, Laurie, of Derby, and John Laprise and girlfriend, Stacey Piper of Bristol; two sisters: Jacinthe Vaillancourt and husband, Danny, of Ocklawaha, FL, and Sandra Bourgoin and husband, Roland, of Bristol; his two adored grandchildren: Nathan and Emma Lam; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Thursday (March 31, 2016) at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
