Dudley Jandreau, 87, of Bristol passed away peacefully Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Bristol Hospital. He was the husband of Rita Jandreau.
Dudley was born in St. Francis, Maine on May 13, 1928 one of ten children to Edward and Celina Jandreau. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion, Post #2 and was retired as a pressman with New Departure and was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bristol.
Besides his wife, he leaves his daughter, Cathy Benlock and her husband Charlie of Southington, brother George Jandreau and his wife Odette of Caribou, ME; grandchildren Michelle Soraghan and her husband Niall of Torrington, Alissa and Jordan Martel of Bristol and his great grandchildren Colin Soraghan, Shaelyn Soraghan and Naomi Mathon and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Joseph, Alberie, Omar, Alva, Albert Jandreau and his sisters Violette Michaud, Rita Pelletier, and Lorraine Guerette.
Dudley’s funeral will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. from O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol and will proceed to St. Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Committal service and interment with full military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
