On Saturday, March 5, 2016, Mark S. Nairne, 55, passed on to eternal life. Born on October 29, 1960, he was the son of Kenneth and Patricia (Mitchell) Nairne of Bristol. He was raised in Bristol, graduating from St. Paul’s Catholic High School, attended Syracuse University, and had lived the past 25 years in the Denver, Colorado area. He had been in the employ of the Salvation Army and enjoyed mentoring disadvantaged youth. Mark had a great passion for political causes, especially ones that advocated just and peaceful living, and thoroughly enjoyed music and sporting events. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister Kathleen Paradis of Farmington, a brother Christopher Nairne and his wife Lena of Suwanee, GA, nieces and nephew; Alexa, Nicholas, Jordan, & Camryn. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 22, 11:00 AM, at St. Gregory Church, 235 Maltby St, Bristol, CT. with inurnment services following at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Mausoleum. There are no calling hours and in lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be directed to the Salvation Army, 217 Washington St, Hartford, CT 06106.
