The Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center is participating in GivingTuesday Dec. 1. GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. The club, which recently celebrated 108 years of providing services to children and families in and around Bristol, plans to launch a new Performing Arts Program in 2016. The club has a goal of raising $13,000 on GivingTuesday to support these new programs that will provide youth in the community with guitar lessons, tap dance lessons and performing arts classes.
