Bristol police are investigating a hit and run that happened on Farmington Avenue Sunday evening where a 35-year-old female was struck. The victim suffered non life threatening injuries and was transported to St. Francis Hospital.
A press release said the accident occurred on Farmington Avenue in the area of Walmart, when a woman was crossing the road and was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. The driver stopped to check on the pedestrian and then drove off, the release said. Witnesses described the vehicle as a four-door green Buick LeSabre, the release said, and the driver was a white male in his 50’s with shoulder length hair and a scruffy mustache who was wearing a dark or brown bulky coat and tan pants. The driver continued west on Farmington Avenue, the release said.
The police department is asking for assistance from the public in locating the vehicle and identifying the driver. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Meusel at (860)584-3011.
