Portions of South Street, Union Street, and Church Street in Bristol will be closed for a period of approximately five days beginning on Monday, Sept. 21 as part of the intersection reconstruction project. The portion of South Street between Wolcott Street (Route 69) and Union Street will remain closed to through traffic during this time, and the portion between Union Street and Main Street will be restricted and/ or closed as operations dictate. Limited access will be available from Church and Union Streets onto South Street. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during this period. Signs will be posted to detour through traffic, and police officers will be on duty.
