Recently, the Futures Collegiate Baseball League announced the 2015 All-Futures League team for the regular season and the list is quite an impressive ledger.
The FCBL put together both first and second teams and players from the Bristol Blues are scattered throughout both lists.
In all, 40 players make the list and it’s an impressive group with at least one player represented from every team in the league in 2015.
The Blues led the way with seven players that made the All Futures League Team with three pitchers (George Lund, Troy Terzi, and Rob Paccione) all making the first team.
Here’s a quick look at the statistics for these seven outstanding athletes:
Davis Strong: He was the power man of the squad, dropping in six home runs this season – a team high – to go along with 27 RBI which placed him second on the Blues…He batted .279 which was good for fourth on the squad…Overall, he generated 50 hits on the campaign which included five doubles and two three-base hits…Walked 26 times and was hit by a pitch nine times…Swiped 13 bases and was caught stealing just three times overall.
