Imagine Nation, A Museum Early Learning Center will be hosting Family Farms Day at Roberts Orchard located at 125 Hill St. on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 4.
The event will feature a variety of free activities including afternoon hayrides from 2 to 4 p.m., pumpkin decorating, face painting, hands on activities, performers, and more.
The Build a Scarecrow Shindig will be taking place from 12 to 3 p.m. where families are welcome to bring clothes to decorate their scarecrow or choose from bins of clothes donated by Savers of Bristol.
The 14th annual Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest will be held at 2 p.m. where children ages 5 to 15 are invited to enter this free zany beauty contest, where a team of judges will be looking for the most worn out and smelliest pair of sneakers they can find. The winner of this regional contest will receive recognition, Odor-Eaters Products, $200, and the Golden Sneaker Award. The winner must be able to attend the National Contest at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in New York City in March of 2016. Registrations will be accepted the day of the event between 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Roberts Orchard.
The Roberts Orchard store will be open to buy pumpkins, as well as homemade breads, pies, and their apple cider donuts.
