In response to a recent survey, the Bristol History Room, which houses the local history collection of the Bristol Public Library, will be open on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates: Jan. 11, Feb. 8, March 8, April 5, May 3, and June 14.
The room has books about Bristol, pictures and postcards, maps, diaries, church and assessor’s records, newspapers on microfilm, cemetery, birth, death and marriage indexes, city directories and yearbooks.
On permanent display in the local history room are nearly a hundred historic images of Bristol and a temporary exhibit of LakeCompounce pictures.
