South Street in Bristol between Wolcott Street (Route 69) and Church Street will be closed to through traffic for a period of approximately four weeks beginning on Monday, Aug. 3 as part of the reconstruction of the intersection of South, Church, and Union streets.
Provisions will be made for access to local residences and businesses, and Church Street and Union Street will be open for business access as well. The portion of South Street between Union Street and Main Street will be reopened on Friday, July 31.
Signs will be posted to detour through traffic onto local area roads. Police officers will be on duty.
