The Bristol History Room, which houses the local history collection of the Bristol Public Library, will be open on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates: Sept. 20, Oct. 18, Nov. 15, and Dec. 13.
The room has books about Bristol, pictures and postcards, maps, diaries, church and assessor’s records, newspapers on microfilm, cemetery, birth, death and marriage indexes, city directories and yearbooks. There are nearly a hundred historic images of Bristol on permanent display in the local history room and a temporary exhibit of Lake Compounce pictures and objects made at the American Silver Company.
